Over the past two decades, Omar Gutierrez has overseen several of the most successful brands in the global restaurant and nightlife sectors . He has worked alongside the world's best chefs and restaurateurs, managed a series of world-class restaurants, and implemented the highest standards of operational excellence throughout a career stocked with professional achievements.

With a passion for hospitality that sparked early, Gutierrez went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration. He dove into his career head-first at the Rio Hotel and Casino as part of the team that relaunched the 162,000+ square foot location with great fanfare in 1999. The concept helped revolutionize Las Vegas entertainment with the opening of the city’s first casino nightclub and luxury rooftop lounge.

After overseeing food and beverage operations at the hotel's Rio Secco, Gutierrez took on the General Manager role for Jean Louis Paladin's Napa, named by Bon AppetitMagazine as one of the nation’s best restaurants. In 2003, he set his sights on operations for the multi-million dollar Voodoo Lounge and Restaurant, which included live entertainment, an ultra-lounge, and the hotel’s 51st floor fine dining restaurant. From the Voodoo Lounge, he went on to join the House of Blues Foundation Room and Rick Moonen's flagship restaurant RM Seafood as General Manager, working to spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.

In 2007, he accepted the position of Director of Food and Beverage at Mandalay Bay where he worked side-by-side the star chefs Charlie Palmer,Alain Ducasse, Hubert Keller and Michael Mina. In addition to fine dining, Gutierrez was in charge of Mandalay’s suite of bars, lounges, nightclubs, pool operations, banquets, in-room dining and quick service divisions. Over his three year tenure at Mandalay Bay, he opened several new venues and oversaw the food and beverage operations for the country's biggest sporting events and concerts.

Prior to joining Orange Brands Management in 2016, Gutierrez was Vice President of Restaurants for the U.S. for Hakkasan Ltd., the global dining and nightlife company, with restaurant operations in Miami, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Beverly Hills.

As Orange Brands Management’s COO, Gutierrez manages strategic business operations of the company’s SUSHISAMBA and Duck & Waffle brands with locations in London, Amsterdam, Miami and Las Vegas. His latest project was the highly acclaimed opening of the SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden, which debuted in November, 2018. With his ability to provide day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of Orange Brands Management, Gutierrez is an integral part of the company’s success as it continues to expand globally.
